Wedding Wednesday - Engagement Session & t-minus 1month!

I've been sitting on these beauties for a while now waiting for the right moment to post them & what better reason than now the countdown has really begun. Adam & I will become husband & wife one month today! Eep!
We had our Engagement Session with the rather wonderful Chris Barber (see his website HERE) who'll also be photographing our wedding. We've been drooling over his work ever since we booked him, he has a real flare for capturing the moment in his own special way & after seeing all these wonderful couples on there all of a sudden it was our turn. We met up a month or two ago in Brum for our shoot & these were all taken in the Custard Factory (I could spend days there without getting bored!). We were so excited to see how our pics had come out & wow we weren't disappointed! These are only the start of a great set which I'll be sharing with you all every Wedding Wednesday up until the week of the big day. Bet you can't wait?!
This last weekend was spent up at ma&pa's. It was hectic but in a good way & we got so much done resulting in many ticks on my 12page spreadsheet (I know right!). There was only one hiccup, I'm not going into details, it could have been mega, but crisis was averted thanks to my fab parents & now everything should be a.ok. I always thought I'd be alright & after a little wobble would just brush off things that don't go to plan, (if any of you know me who am I kidding?!), I wasn't exactly throwing tantrums on the floor & screaming & shouting but I wasn't cool as a cucumber either! I think it just threw me a little bit that this thing I've been planning for over a year & a half will have it's ups & downs that aren't always in my control but I feel ready now to carry on enjoying the planning process. I think it was a bit of a shocker too that our weekend at ma&pa's was the last one there until we travel up for the actual wedding. Er hello time, can you slow down just a teeny bit?! Cheers!
Anyways all in all we're almost ready & raring to go. 31 days. Bring. It. On!

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith.
