science - you gotta love it!

Not sure how many of you heard about this but it was an event on facebook that I found out about & thought why the devil not! Science can be fun! It goes on the theory that "Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media. Sedighi is Tehran's acting Friday prayer leader. It was decided that yesterday (Monday 26th April) would be labelled BOOBQUAKE! The point was for as many people as possible to wear a low-cut top & thus if the theory above is true it will cause an earthquake. Well I’ve seen in the paper today that it actually worked! Crazy! http://gawker.com/5524695/boobquake-actually-caused-an-earthquake?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:%20gawker/full%20(Gawker)&utm_content=Google%20Reader See the link from the original blog: http://www.blaghag.co

Notes from a bookworm

It's interesting how much a book can affect you. I've just sarted reading 'The Lovely Bones' by Alice Sebold & it's brilliant but so very sad at the same time. If you've not read it you really should. It has been written in such a clever way & it makes me want to read every single word. Not many books have this effect on me & i enjoy reading them but can take it or leave it, this one i just have to keep on reading. I'm only on page68 & i'm really hoping it takes a while to finish cos when i get this much into a book i love it! x x x

*news flash*

Well after a few months of trying really hard not to say anything I can now confirm adam & I have bought a flat! Had a phone call yesterday to say we had exchanged successfully & we’re due to get the keys end may! It’s so exciting! Our own little place together. We can’t wait! It’s a big step & we say bring it! :P As soon as we’d signed our contracts & paid the deposit on Saturday we made our first purchases as home owners – we got a bath mat, towels, colander, tea towels & a pedal bin for the bathroom! Just a few bits & bobs for now then we move onto the sofa, bed, shower, etc…….we’ve already ordered the kitchen too so it’s going to be all systems go as soon as we move in. Can’t wait to start making the place our own & then more importantly have a house warming! On a totally different topic I can’t believe how noisy it is now with the planes going overhead once more. I know it’s good for the people who were stranded but it was so peaceful for a week wit

My brain hurts!

*ouch!* Thought i'd try another step in my growing up & listen to the debate on itv tonight to learn more about politics. I started off by not having a clue who to vote for, now i think i'm even more unsure! Argh! Really trying to stay focused.........come on brain don't fail me now! Think they should have shown this in half hour installments everday, they're losing me! Not even an advert break for loo breaks & for me to get a cup of tea to keep me awake! Also couldn't they have spent a bit more on the budget of the show instead of dragging it out of the 80s?! x x x

come on brain!

Why is it when you need to read something quickly your brain suddenly needs to read each word 3 times for it to take in what it's saying?! Double this when you put Swedish names into the equation! Argh! x x x

....the Addam's Family! (not true at all but was the best title I could come up with!) Easter was different for me this year – it was my first holiday with Adam’s family. Mum was so busy with church that I’m seeing them this weekend instead so we stayed at Lisa’s house & had 3 days with them in Essex. It was my first experience of a noisy & busy family time. It’s usually just Mum, Dad, Adam & me relaxing, watching tv & going for a walk. This time on the Sunday there were Adam’s parents, Jenna & Matt, Lisa & Nick, Brandon, Adam & me plus a psycho cat! Looking back on it it was quite fun to be part of such a bubbly family celebration but at certain points I wished I’d had my ear plugs! It’ll take a bit of getting used to but not in a bad way just a different way. I still managed to get a walk in though which was fun (had to walk off the amazing meal cooked by Lisa to make room for the gooey chocolate cake Matt had made!) & everyone came along. Lisa &
