We like to think the music we had at our wedding reflected us as a couple really well & with this in mind we wanted to make sure we picked our First dance & Parent's Dance carefully & didn't end up with a generic song that didn't mean much to us.
After a lot of thought we decided on The Gaslight Anthem's "Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts," the words were lovely & we've both followed Gaslight almost as long as we've been going out!
After sweet talking Adam we had a few little jive classes with the wonderfully talented Kev & Aggie who I've been lucky enough to get to know through Jive & who have been taking competitions by storm this year (they're multiple Freestyle & Showcase Champions)! Definitely check them out if you want some private lessons. They were great fun & tailor your dance to match your needs. We didn't want a fully choreographed routine just a few special moves we could whip out & in the end we were so pleased with it! I've included a video of the dance at the bottom of this post so check it out! :)
The music for our Parent's Dance was also thanks to Gaslight - "Once Upon A Time" (originally performed by Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise).
There were so many lyrics that made this song choice perfect & the mentions of Marvin Gaye & Elvis Presley made it even more special. We also swapped partners all the way through so we got to have some special time with everyone.

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). There were mixed responses to the rather tentacle-y calamari (I have some hilarious snaps of Jazzy eating the tentacles but I'm here to make friends not enemies so those will be shared between the 2 of us &am
For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent
Wow where did the last 6months go?! So far 2018 has been an ace one... not stopped as usual... but loved it all the same! At the end of June Adam and I went to Russia with two friends... We went to Moscow and St Petersburg and we loved it. I knew it would be great but it was just so much nicer, friendlier and brighter than expected... check it out! late night flights... early morning landings... Greatest Showman binges (watched it 4 times in total - how amazing is this film?!)... lazy sleep breakfast... sunny morning walks... 40 winks on a park bench (due to 28hours of being awake!)... finally being able to check into our holiday apartment... another 40winks / 2hours kip... supermarket explorations... Bolshoi sightseeing... marvelous metro stations... jazzy shopping centers... twinkly lights everywhere... red square at night... Day 2... wonderfully magical markets... pug cushion purchases... vodka for lunch... P&S anniversary dinner... Russian pug... stunnin
