Long Live Film!

Yesterday Spring had definitely sprung & what better way to enjoy it than wandering around East London armed with 4 cameras & rolls of film for them all?!
Lou & I had a long overdue catch up while we wandered, well queued, our way round a very busy Columbia Road flower market, then headed off for Brick Lane grabbing a yummy burger along the way & finally finished off with a yummy chocolate, chocolate, chocolate Belgian Waffle at Patisserie Valerie after seeing what Spittalfields had to offer.
The whole idea was that we swapped cameras so while Lou got used to my manual SLR (my pride & joy!) I clicked away on her Diana Mini playing around with double exposures & half frames. It was great fun & I've definitely got the bug again for film cameras. Bank balance you have been warned! Yoink!

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Russia Rabble 2018

Wow where did the last 6months go?! So far 2018 has been an ace one... not stopped as usual... but loved it all the same!  At the end of June Adam and I went to Russia with two friends... We went to Moscow and St Petersburg and we loved it. I knew it would be great but it was just so much nicer, friendlier and brighter than expected... check it out! late night flights... early morning landings... Greatest Showman binges (watched it 4 times in total - how amazing is this film?!)... lazy sleep breakfast... sunny morning walks... 40 winks on a park bench (due to 28hours of being awake!)... finally being able to check into our holiday apartment... another 40winks / 2hours kip... supermarket explorations...
