T-minus 6months / 184days!

Eeep! 6months today I'll be just about to walk down the aisle to see the man I'm going to marry! AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!I'm so ridiculously excited I'm not sure I can bottle it up!
Valentines day marked 200 days till our wedding & mum made us a countdown using tape measures measuring 100cm each. The plan was to cut off a cm each day as the countdown but she'd included little charms all down them of bags, shoes, guitars, etc & we didn't want to ruin it so we're colouring it in with a Sharpie instead! She's the best! :) thanks mum!
Last night after work Adam & I met up at Waterloo to head home & it was all going as planned till we stopped at one station for about 20mins cos of a backlog due to a part suspension. There was nothing we could do to get on another line so we sat & waited, the train eventually left but then sat at the next station (Swiss Cottage) for another 20min & they didn't know when they'd set off again. We knew the next station was just a few mins walk down the road to jump on a different line so we got off the train. By this point we couldn't face the though of cooking when we got in so when we surfaced from the station & were faced with "Ye Olde Swiss Cottage" pub we decided to drop in for an impromptu date night!
The pub was fab from the outside & inside it was just how a pub should look (none of this wine bar nonsense!) & we had a really cosy armchair each which beat sitting on a tube any day. They had a rather odd selection of drinks but I settled for half an ale & Adam had a whisky & coke after he asked about bottled beers & he hadn't heard of either of them! The food was ok, pretty cheap & good portions but I made sure we took a bit of a detour on our way home to McD's for an apple & blackberry pie! Mmm!
All in all it was a good evening & was quite fun being spontaneous & just going out for dinner - the bonus of living together I guess cos there's no planning dates needed! We're out tonight too but that's with all the x-box boys so at least we got a chance to go out together & spend a bit of time as a couple, having dinner before we got home & I caught up on Geordie Shore from last night & Adam groaned & went on x-box!

p.s hope y'all made the most of your extra day yesterday? Someone pointed out to me at work that I actually worked for free cos we don't get paid an extra day in Feb every 4 years needless to say I wasn't best chuffed & was so tempted to go home & actually make the most of an extra day! I think it should be made a national holiday with one condition - you do summit you wouldn't normally do. Who's with me on that one?!
