have a proper crimbo!

well i cant believe its christmas eve! really doesnt feel like it. no more sleeps still santa now, he'll be here tonight! :-D im still not that excited about it which is a bit of a shame, makes me realise im growing up! argh!!
went out last night and 'did' hinckley. it was a wicked night cos i got to see woodlands crew and some of my old mates from high school i knew when i was about 12. we started off in the baron and it was packed, as was everywhere else! the whole of hinckley was out i think! our next stop was the union and then baracuda that had just opened.

our last stop of the night was flares! as usual! it was packed when we arrived but it quitened down by about 1:30am. its quite cool now cos the late night licence laws, u can stay in the pubs for longer, so can go to the clubs even later and it makes the night go quicker. reading that back i dont think it makes sense but it did in my head!! :-P

we all ended up on stage in flares, it was really cool and we took up the whole space! hehe. you can also buy retro things, hence the wig and the guitar! the bit i like the best?! the light up dance floor! groovy baby yeah!

stayed at flares till about 3am then just before walking home we paid a compulsory visit to the kebab/pizza man! hehe. it was really good fun and if any of you got me drinks last night, thanks alot and ill buy you one next year after the student loan has come through!!! i managed a whole night out on £8, quite impressed with that!
oh and by the way, heres proof that our parrot really does exist! its not just me and my family going mad!

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

T-minus 6months / 184days!

Eeep! 6months today I'll be just about to walk down the aisle to see the man I'm going to marry! AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!I'm so ridiculously excited I'm not sure I can bottle it up! Valentines day marked 200 days till our wedding & mum made us a countdown using tape measures measuring 100cm each. The plan was to cut off a cm each day as the countdown but she'd included little charms all down them of bags, shoes, guitars, etc & we didn't want to ruin it so we're colouring it in with a Sharpie instead! Last night after work Adam & I met up at Waterloo to head home & it was all going as planned till we stopped at one station for about 20mins cos of a backlog due to a part suspension.
