this is not the greatest and best review in the world, this is just a tribute!

wow! wow wow wow wow wow! tenacious d came and they rocked their socks off and left again! that was one of the bestest gigs i ve been to! they were mucking fagic!! it was such a funny gig. it all started off with them jamming in kyles living room then they got electrocuted and were sent straight to hell! they did all their songs from their old album as well as the newer songs plus covering flash gordon and linking it to wonder boy, then in the eoncore they did their well known ruder song (cant type it the parents read this!!) followed by tribtue (woot woot) then pinball wizard from tommy!! how cool?! jack black brought out his saxaboom too which was a previlage to witness! haha. it was at the hammersmith apollo and we (arf and me) were in the circle near the back, thankfully everyone stayed sitting down so we could all see what was going on. their backing group was aweseome too. Everyone joined in with all the songs so it was a really noisy and engergetic gig and we got all of it sitting down!! bargain! the photos below were taken from a big screen, we werent actually that close to them!!



they asked us, be you angels and we said nay, we are but men. ROCK!

what's your favourite dish? I'm not gonna cook it but i'll order it from ZANZIBAR!

i was very tempeted to go down to the apollo tonight and wait at the stage door or even try to get in to see it again if there was a spare ticket! they didnt do their inward singing tho so they did only rock us half of the time, the rest they were singing. in!

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith.
