notes from the birthday girl 2!

MY FUNKY CANDLES
had a really nice birthday yesterday. went into work and got some lovely flowers from jane, then realised i didnt have a vase so went into hammersmith at lunch with some birthday money and got a vase! (good job i did cos i then got 2 more bunches of flowers later on!). finsihed work and went into the city in my wonder woman boots! got so many funny looks it was brill! i was trying so hard not to laugh as i walked along watching peoples reactions! theyre worse than they were in lufbra! people actually stop to point, stare and laugh!! met up with emhen (plus balloon!) and i went to tatty devine to pick my name necklace. woot woot! gotta wait 7/10days tho! noooo!


CHEESY CHOPS! (with my tree in a drink!!)
went to covent garden for cocktails and even more cocktails! then had a meal at fire and stone (i think it was called!) and had a bombay pizza. it was ace. then as we were chatting the waiter brought out a chocloate brownie with my name in candles on the top. it was so cool! really nice surprise! my cocktails of the evening were mojitos and daiquiris. i swapped to daiquiris when i got fed up of picking bits of tree (well mint!) out of my teeth! mmm attractive! we ended up in TGIFs for a final cocktail and had a huge bowl of a cocktail (£7s worth!) it was brill! had such a nice evening with emhen, she made it really special and we had a proper giggle and caught up on lots of stuff. eventhough we've both been around its felt like aaages since i last had a chat with her and i really enjoyed it. :-) cheers chicken!

got to bed about 1:30am then was in the gym for 7am! you proud of me?! i am! hehe. aiming for the same thing 2moz!

thought id end on this photo at piccadilly circus, they were beautiful and sounded amazing! there was a ferrari just ahead of them too. its obviously THE cool spot to be seen in your car! maybe i should take wendy?!?!

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith.
