station approach

had a well good but quite expensive night last night. rfa and i went into nottingham to see elbow. went to lufbra station to get a train and i found out that rfa actually has some pet peeves!!! at last! knew he'd have some somewhere! hehe. they were nothing really exciting but they were all to do with how people rush for tains and moan, etc! we got in bout 6pm and went for a quick drink at the pit & pendulum, i love that pub! looks so cool, although it did scare me alot when first went in there and i had to go behind a bookcase to find the toilets!!! had an envy cocktail (cheers slink for introducing them to me!) and rfa had a.......yup you guessed it, a guinness!! we had dinner at wagamamas, a japanese noodle place, had a bottle of wine (we were trying to be posh!). it was realy nice but the food was too filling! we arrived at rock city about 8pm and the support act liam frost and the slowdown family were playing. they were really good actually and we managed to be two rows from the ront which was cool. i then held the fort while rfa went to the loo and then elbow came on. i wasnt too sure what it would be like cos they are fairly chilled out but it was ace. we danced along and they did loads of their new stuff plus some odds and ends from the old albums. the gig finished at 11 (wasnt a very long set really) and we got a taxi back to lufbra. it was a really good night, not had one like that for ages. :-) feeling a bit rough today though!! hehe.
