Miss p textile designer extrodinaire!


I was quite impressed with this bag! I got to work on friday &ealised i didnt have a bag to go out with so i got a magazine that had one free. I then realised it was really cheap & ming (!) so i searched through my bag & found some random things in there to sew onto it & the photo above is what i managed to do on the train to lufbra! I was quite proud of it! :-)

One thing Ive noticed this year is the lack of poppies on peoples coats. I think thats really sad that people arent buying them & wearing them very much now. Ive always worn one & i will usually buy about 3 a year cos ill buy the first one so early thatll ill loose it & the same with the next one! Hopeless! At least Ive made up for 2 other people that didnt buy one this year!

cool bag missey... i noticed the poppy thing too... I was even more pissed off to see a group of kids walking along talking through the 2 minutes silence on the 11th!! I bought a poppy but I lost it within the hour... :(

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

T-minus 6months / 184days!

Eeep! 6months today I'll be just about to walk down the aisle to see the man I'm going to marry! AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!I'm so ridiculously excited I'm not sure I can bottle it up! Valentines day marked 200 days till our wedding & mum made us a countdown using tape measures measuring 100cm each. The plan was to cut off a cm each day as the countdown but she'd included little charms all down them of bags, shoes, guitars, etc & we didn't want to ruin it so we're colouring it in with a Sharpie instead!
