i feel nice, like sugar and spice.......

well ive had an amazing weekend. so much fun. rfa, jane (his sis), ross and i all went to see the legend himself mr james brown at the roundhouse in camden. it was for the bbc electric proms. the zutons were supporting him and they were ace too. only did a half hour set but it was good fun. jimmy brown came on and did all the main hits (:P) and his set lasted about 2hours i think. the venue was really nice and it was packed and had a cool atmosphere. my photo below aint that good but never mind! you get the idea! click on the link below and you can see other photos and watch the gig on tinternet. cant believe hes about 73 and still performing like that! big thumbs up to the guy!!

on the saturday we pottered around london and rfa met up with some mates. in the evening we had a really good, and not too expensive, meal at strada next to the london eye and by the river. it was so warm sitting outside, cant believe its the end of oct and everyones still in tshirts.

we then headed to the old vic theatre near waterloo and went to see 'a moon for the misbegotten.' it had keven spacey in it and was brilliant, eve best was the leading lady and she was fantastic too. such an emotionally charged play. we both got really got engrossed in it. i know this is straight from the website (see link below) but this was what it was about:
'Josie (Best), a towering woman with a quick tongue and a ruined reputation lives in a dilapidated Connecticut farmhouse with her conniving father, Phil Hogan (Meaney). Together they're a formidable force as they scrape together a livelihood. But Josie's softer side is exposed through her love of Jim Tyrone (Spacey), Hogan's landlord and drinking buddy - a third-rate actor whose dreams of stardom were washed away by alcohol. '
it was so good as i keep saying (!) and rfa and i were on the front row right in the middle. the stage was really low so they were perfect seats and we got to get really close to mr spacey!! if anyones in london wanting to see a play you really should see it! only thing i would say is dress smart! :S if the other people in the audience looked anymore down their noses at us they would have fallen backwards!! it was really bad! i was toying with the idea of going to the 'powder room' and coming back with my skirt tucked in my knickers or something to see what theyd do! hehe.
so yeah, overall a pretty good weekend i'd say and it was lovely seeing rfa again. was sad to see him go yesterday 1. cos i miss him and being back in lufbra with the uni lot and 2. cos it meant the weekend was over and i have to go to work in about 10min! boo! hehe. anways better get going this gals got a bus to catch!
