cold at wet london :( !!

i know i know, ive not blogged in aaages! sorry bout that. ive been so tired! and only wanted to write when i had time instead of rushing! had an amazing time in india. i was there for almost 2weeks and got to experience diwali in mumbai which was ace! if a little scary! fireworks next to cars and by petrol stations can be a bit worrying!! yoink!

had an amazing time in bangalore. it was lovely seeing everyone. we went to cosmo, pebble and leela. it was brill. loved it all so so much! i was so nervous at first seeing everyone again but after a few beers for dutch courage i was well on my way again! ;) hehe. rob, paul and ajay were back in town too so it was a proper get together! had a real giggle all weekend! :)

DJ COLLINS NEW FUNKY T-SHIRT!
i got collin this amazing tshirt so that when he's dj-ing it flashes in time to the beat. really wish id been in taika the first time he used it! bet it went down well! woot woot!

work went really well and i got lots of stuff done. everyone was so friendly too. on the friday just before diwali we all dressed up in indian dress including me! i wore my outfit i got in ahmedabad, gujarat along with donna. everyone was very impressed id worn it and i got compliments all day! seeing as id got a new outfit i didnt have any shoes so i had to buy new shoes! cant be bad eh?! donna and i went to see 'don' a hindi movie. it was ace. didnt understand any of it but it was fun! i got the jist and of course there was the singing and dancing to laugh at! its so random but great!

came back on sunday evening to a wet and cold london. i so didnt want to be back! i missed my room in the shalimar too! it was a well nice hotel! never had to clean anything either!! ;) hehe. i did loads in mumbai/bangalore but cant think of anything now! just wanted to post some photos! hope y'all well!

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith.
