a house a house my kingdom for a house!

well its finally here, this weekend im off to try and find a houseshare in Putney! fingers crossed ill find somewhere, ill keep ya posted and hopefully therell be room for y'all to stay over (not all at the same time obviously but maybe a few at a time!). ive got 8 to look at so hopefully ill find one out of that lot!

i keep coming across really nice friendly guys in carparks at the mo, its happened twice this week, where a guy has seen me drive into a carpark then given me his ticket thats got a good few hours left on it so i dont need to buy one! good aint it! rfa and rikster were a bit annoyed tho when it happend last weekend, 'it woulnt have happened to us cos we're guys' they grumbled!!

had a really nice weekend last weekend cos rfa, anna and rikster came over to use the hottub and chillax. we had a rotten indian from barwell, but hey, the beer and pims (not together) washed it all down nicely! we also went for a really hot walk in bradgate park on the sunday to walk off the bbq we had for lunch. its been really nice and sunny lately so lots of sunworshipping and also ill hopefully get a bit more of that done when i go back to india in the not too distant future! :-D woohoo!

thats about all ive done so far appart from trying to unpack my room back home while packing for putney at the same time! ive also been driving around barwell quite alot and seen a fair few people i used to go to school with either in the same year or below me with kids! argh! scary thought!! :-S

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith.
