wedges + moshing = very sore knee!

oops! had a very good night last night. wasnt really expecting to do anything at all then got a phone call from paul saying he was back in lufbra along with a few of the guys and did i wanna come out? of course i leapt at the chance and so ended up at rock night in echos jumping around like a loony! trouble was that i had my big wedge sandles on and while i was running, hopping and jumping i didnt feel anything, but now that its the next day, im in a little bit of pain!! ah well i had a great time and that was what mattered! i needed to get out rather than watching the latest eviction on big brother!!

tomorrow mum and i are off down to london to visit my aunty and then the 3 of us plus my cousin becky are off to paris! i dont stick around long! should be quite a nice trip only trouble is it means i have to start packing again! thought id left all the behind for a bit anyway! argh!

anyways better hobble off downstairs i think i can smell my fish fingers, mash potato and baked beans! mmmmm! hehe.

I have looked for '' moshing '' in various lexicons....none can tell me the meaning.Would you be so kind ??Is this a sample of the lufbra dialect ??

moshing = jumping/skipping/hopping/etc like a loony to rock music. its actually a well known term, i'm suprised word web couldnt help you with that one! :-P

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith. Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent
