So much for updating this blog more regularly! Yoink!  In a nutshell, life has changed again...  I was made redundant in August, I knew I wasn't happy in my job but it still hit me like a tonne of bricks. I'd been working in the fashion industry for 15years, now the rug had been taken out from under me it gave me the fresh start I obviously needed. I was left with no work or home ties to London and so decided to relocate to the Midlands. I started to apply for jobs and found one that seemed perfect, a studio assistant role on minimum wage, I went for the interview and found out the next day I hadn't got that job, but the boss had wanted to employ me as her PA / Project developer, it was a dream job come true! All that organisation with creative bits thrown in! Huzzah! I've been working there a month and a half and I'm loving it, the people are lovely, the job is great, and the embroidery product is beautiful. Now I'm in a job I love again Positive Parker has sta...

Puppy Power!

Image
Sundays are for country walks right?! Well this was the best walk ever! We went to South Weald Country Park to gate crash the  French & English Bulldogs/Bostons/Pugs meet up. I knew there's be quite a few dogs around but had no idea it would be this big! We turned up with an imaginary pug & joined the crowd. It was brill! Trouble is it's don't nothing for our puppy obsession & can't wait for one of our own so we can come along as legit dog owners! Roll on the next one! Ttfn x

Roll up roll up the best kind of party's in town

Image
No it's not an SClub party...it's a Pug Party! I wish every Sunday could be like last Sunday...we spent it at a pug party at Pick Me Up  Festival at Somerset House. The Pug Queen herself.... Gemma Correll was there teaching everyone how to draw pugs & not just any pugs...pug balloons! Sadly Mr Norman Pickles (the muse for most of Gemma's work) wasn't there but various pug photos were projected onto the walls for inspiration/distraction! Afterwards we had great fun wandering down the South Bank, pugs in tow....sadly the tube got too exciting for one of Adam's pugs & he popped on the way home *sigh* Our little pugs are now by the tv & I swear when we go out to work they carry on having their own little pug party while they wait for us to come home. #BEDM - Day 7 - Pets

Image
Anyone who knows me will know what this post will be about....PUGS! I love their so ugly they're cute faces & we (yes we, I've managed to convert Adam too!) can't wait to welcome on into our little home eventually, closely followed by a French Bulldog & maybe even a Sausage Dog one day! In the past I've had 2 gerbil's called Filli & Killi (after the Hobbit!) & grew up around an epileptic dog called Smee! Pet's are brill & there' nothing better than coming home to a little creature that looks up to you! Me, insecure?! Nah! :P Ttfn x This post is part of Rsalilium's 'Blog Every Day In May' challenge - see more HERE

and they call it pupy love

Image
Little Pug is settling in very well with us & he bonded with Adam straight away, no matter how much love he gets though he always looks sad.... ....he's been eating well & we've even trained him along the way.... ....when he does misbehave though he's soon forgiven, how can you stay mad at that face?!.... ....our little family.... ....think it's about time someone checked herself into Pugs Anonymous?! Ttfn x

welcome to our new arrival....

Image
little pug came into our lives very recently. It was a shame to take him away from his tall friend (who knew pugs & Giraffes got on so well?!) but he's one pampered pooch back at Chez P! He's so well house trained already & although he likes to follow us around he's no trouble at all. We had a really fun weekend seeing ma&pa & doing wedding stuff (75 days to go!) on Saturday then Sunday was our Engagement Shoot with Chris Barber - more on that to come! We're pretty cream crackered now but it was worth it! :) Ttfn x

playful poppy

Image
Adam's family have always had cats & one of them, Poppy, is such an attention seeking little miss. I love the fact she looks like she's posing & smiling for the camera! She loves sitting on you for cuddles which isn't so great for me when I start sneezing & my eye swells up like a golfball so I find the best thing to do is to put a camera between me & the fur & every one's happy. Happy Birthday/New Year!

Image
New Years Eve always brings with it 2 celebrations for our family - preparing for the new year & celebrating dad's birthday. This year wasn't just any old birthday it was his 60th. We spent the day doing weddingy stuff (sorry dad!) then we were just relaxing at home when Uncle Colin & Aunty Sue just happened to drop by ;) & we just happened to have a reservation at dad's favourite Indian - The Cinnamon Tree in Coalville. I ran ahead & smuggled a 60 balloon in & mum arranged for his first pint of Kingfisher to come in a special 60 pint glass. The staff are always brill, have great recommendations, the food tastes scrummy & New Years Eve was no exception. Dad even got a bottle of wine out of it at the end - can't be bad! We headed home in time for us to grab everything we needed to let off the fireworks Colin & Sue had bought dad for his birthday. I don't think they'd realised what a big box they'd bought though cos it needed to b...

Happy Holidays!

Image
Well that's it for another year! Adam & I headed to ma&pa's straight after work on Friday so we could make the most of Chrimbo Eve rather than spending it sitting on a motorway in traffic jams. We spent the morning pottering round a surprisingly empty Hinckley town centre, Morrisons & Woodlands - think everyone had gone to Leicester for last minute buys. It wouldn't be Christmas Eve without heading to church for the Christingle Service & nibbling away at the raisins while singing carols. The church was packed - a lovely sight to see. Afterwards, just like back in the day, we went over to Aunty Di & Uncle Dave's for dinner. It was lovely to catch up with them both & I got to see Helen as well who I grew up with & met her Fiance Pete before their wedding in April next year. We left theirs & headed to Midnight Mass. It's hard to believe Adam & I were some of the youngest there cos I'm sure we almost nodded off during the sermon ...

Would the owner of the world's heaviest eye lids step forward...

That would be me! I was going to post earlier but it would have just been garbled words & the ramblings of a mad woman! Before I go into details I just wanted to introduce Sidney another dog around our offices! Aint he lovely?! Yesterday after work I headed home for a few hours before it was time to go out again. Now I know this is fairly normal practice for most people but since living in London I always go straight out from work & then the night ends earlier to get the last tube so it felt really weird to not be heading somewhere straight away. Adam & I made dinner & watched the Apprentice before getting in the car & driving to Kingston to see the wonderful Frank Turner. Until yesterday morning we didn't realise how late the gig was, we were expecting to go out for dinner, have a sing song at the gig & be on our way home by 11pm! But no! The doors didn't even open till 9pm & Frank wasn't on stage till 11pm! Yoink! The gig was at a place ca...

Woof!

Where have all these dogs & puppies come from recently?! It's like they've all come out of the woodwork along with the better weather, people have gone dog crazy! This cute little fella was on the tube with me today, there was one in the train the other day that sat next to me while I played with him & I met a little sausage dog puppy called cosmo at the building I work at yesterday. Our offices are right by the river so there's loads of space to go for walkies. So far we have an old English sheep fog, a dalmation, a doberman, 2 cocker spaniels & cosmo in the building! I'm going through one of my broody dog moments at the mo it's torture watching them all around me! Oh for a little pug of my own! roaming reporter KtPx
