So much for updating this blog more regularly! Yoink!  In a nutshell, life has changed again...  I was made redundant in August, I knew I wasn't happy in my job but it still hit me like a tonne of bricks. I'd been working in the fashion industry for 15years, now the rug had been taken out from under me it gave me the fresh start I obviously needed. I was left with no work or home ties to London and so decided to relocate to the Midlands. I started to apply for jobs and found one that seemed perfect, a studio assistant role on minimum wage, I went for the interview and found out the next day I hadn't got that job, but the boss had wanted to employ me as her PA / Project developer, it was a dream job come true! All that organisation with creative bits thrown in! Huzzah! I've been working there a month and a half and I'm loving it, the people are lovely, the job is great, and the embroidery product is beautiful. In September I headed off to Paris once more to visit Premiere Vision & Texworld to see all the up and coming fabrics and make a selection... realised I've never really shown what these trips involve so thought I'd let you have a sneak peak into our 3 day Paris trip... Ttfn x

Following on from my FOMO post last week I've been finding my "One Second A Day" monthly movies even more important. Sadly my I lost my May one due to my phone breaking but here's what I got up to in June... Thursday night Ceroc fun... Friday Night Spoons... Coin collecting with the in-laws... card games and silly hats...  Monday attitude... going off grid... English pints with American friends... Best. T-shirt. Ever! - if Belinda Blinked means nothing to you... don't worry!... Sausage and Cider fest with the uni gang... Miami Vice theme pug party... MDWAP... Being asked to be a Taxi Dancer for my local Ceroc group (meaning I help the beginner dancers and run a review class with a few other taxi dancers each time)... doggy mayhem in the office... watching Tommy the musical and playing pinball in the interval... first BBQ of the year - whoop... India Girlies catch up... Marylebone Street Fayre dancing in the streets... "spa day" in the paddling pool.....

There we have it, Feb's flashed by and we're storming into March. Don't ask me how!  There's lots happening at Chez P and can't wait to share everything! Archers update... T2 terrific... Florence was on top form as always & Pitti Uomo has left me with more than a few thought bubbles. It's the first time I've been with my (not so) new company... it was great to look at different products & meet new faces at the Gilli Bar - where else?! We left a grey & blustery London & arrived in a sunny & not to nippy Florence. We spent the first day looking round the shops, trying Ossobuco (veal steak with the bone marrow) which was yummy followed by over priced (& over strong) G&Ts at Gilli along with all the other beautiful people. Day two we attacked the show which was really good. We spent most of the day there looking at the stands & enjoying the musical interludes provided by the Rock theme of Pitti this year. My fave had to be an Argentinian one man band who was fab! After popping into a few more shops & stopping for a meal we ended up back at Gilli. This time I had a €10 larger which was much easier than the G&T...

Howdy strangers! Been a while hasn’t it?! Now don’t go thinking I’ve been sitting around twiddling my thumbs all day…far from it! I’ve been a busy little bee & the fruits of my work can be seen on the River Island website HERE ! Whoop! Here’s a screen grab too in case you can’t get to the website….. I’m dead chuffed! This is all my own handiwork! :) It’s my first design that I’ve done everything on ever…from the button colour, stitch colour & styling to the little zebras that I sat there drawing during my first few days at my new job. Yay! So if like dad, Adam & Pete you’d like to join the Cool Zebra Clan (I like to call them the CZC!) get buying online (I think they might be available in store on Oxford Street soon-ish but can’t be sure). Wow where did those 3 days of work go?! I'd forgotten how much there is to take in at a new workplace & my head's spinning with new techniques, things to ask, things to chase & things to do. I've written the same to do list 5 times in different places trying to find a way to keep on top of everything. Thankfully (for my brain) I've got today off! I wish every week could be a 3 day week *sigh* Ttfn x

Wow I do remember summit from school! A lot has been going down at Chez P over the last few weeks & it's been hard not to blog about anything. And no, I know what you're all thinking, no I'm not pregnant! For me it's just as exciting (& a bit scary) – I've got a new job! I've been with Zodiac for almost 7years (how did that happen?!) & I can't believe it's still my first job. I've learnt so much about anything & everything to do with shirts, fabrics & the working world & made lots of friends along the way, but I decided it was time to move onwards & upwards. I saw a job advert, applied, had an interview, had a 2 nd interview a day later & was offered the job. All in a week! Phew! Yesterday was my last day as part of Team Zodiac & I start my new job on Tuesday. At my Leaving / Holi Party at Dishoom in Shoreditch - Amazing! It was pretty nerve racking seeing as I'd never had a job interview before ...
