One minute I'm ok, all Positive Parker, being a lockdown lady of leisure... the next I'm in a muddle, feeling totally overwhelmed and being a total Negative Nelly. It's exhausting. I know I'm not the only one feeling like this on an emotional rollercoaster but wow! Friday was a particularly bad one, I got the news I knew would be coming but was clinging onto a tiny (unrealistic) slither of hope that it would be ok, my trip to Berlin with 2 of my Frank Turner Fangirls was cancelled, first the flights, then Frank announced the 4day festival Lost Evenings was cancelled, then I had to sort my hotel cancellation. All 3 of us knew it was coming but it was a sad day, at least we're planning for Lost Evenings 5 to be one hell of a celebration, even if it's in Australia (side note - please don't be in Oz, I can't afford it!!). Last month we enjoyed a lovely relaxing week in Crete. We've never done a poolside holiday before & felt like we just really needed some R&R. We ended up being away from the hotel for 3 days but the majority was sat by the pool, dozing & reading. Lovely jubbley! Here's my little 1SE video to tell you all about it.... Obligatory G&T in a can...longest check-in ever...early landings...late arrivals...sunshine all day everyday...food...booze...poolside relaxing...Greek dancing...Ouzo...boat trips...Island exploring...sea swimming...cheesy disco...Happy train...best beach ever (aka no sand!)...anniversary adventures...heading home...first suitcase off. Is the hardest thing to find in Poland, they all drink it black with lemon....Imagine my delight when I spotted a Costa in Warsaw after 4 days of no "proper tea" a few weeks ago...I ordered a large (bucket of) tea & asked for some cold milk to go with it...once the girls had stopped giggling at our weird little English ways this is what I got... I was a happy bunny! Ttfn x

I can't believe I've reached the end of our Minimoon Monday series. Thanks for sticking with me through it all & hopefully it'll make you want to visit the fab place that is Jersey soon?! We realised we were about to leave without any photos of Jersey cows (shocking I know!) so when we passed by a field of them we had to stop to say hi. Adam has never been very good with nature being a Town Mouse after all so no sooner had he walked up to the field he was stung by nettles & then when he reached out to stroke a cow he got an electric shock off the fence! Oh dear! After I'd stopped giggling & Adam's arm had stopped shaking we noticed all the cows were walking away from us & towards a tourist bus, it was hilarious they way they all stood there & stared at the bus while everyone on the bus sat & stared at them & took photos! We couldn't believe we'd been in Jersey for 6days & not had a proper cream tea in a tea room! Adam had seen that there was a vintage one in St Helier so after a bit of Saturday morning shopping we decided to head there for a homemade scone & a cuppa all served in wonderfully mismatched china surrounded by vintage clothing & music. It was a bit out of the way but well worth the hunt so don't miss it! The owner was really friendly & recommended loads of places to go & things to see, sadly it was our penultimate day so we didn't have much time to do them all but it's added things to our list of things to do when we come back! Adam got all celebratory when we passed through Liberation Square & joined in with the people cheering! Talking of Liberation.... ....we stopped off for a cheeky pint of Liberation Ale. The pub was a proper old mans pub & the beams were decorated with beer mats. Perfick! Seeing as our Jersey Pass had run ...

After our usual breakfast we set off to La Mare wine estate which was easier said than done with Jersey's tiny winding roads mixed with a dodgy map & limited sign posts! I tell you if you can drive around Jersey as a newly married couple with only a basic map & not fly home divorced you've got a pretty rock solid relationship! :P Anyway, eventually we made it & went on a great tour learning about (& eating/drinking) everything from wine, champagne, liqueur, chocolate, fudge & jams! After a walk around the vineyards we grabbed a cream tea & wrote some postcards for the folks back home to tell them what a miserable time we'd been having ;) On the way back to St Helier we stopped off for a game of crazy golf. Seeing as I'd let Adam win the previous day at bowling he decided to let me win today. How sweet! After last week's MM post I decided the photos from our amazingly romantic boat trip didn't quite cut it so I've made up a little video for y'all to enjoy! This is the first time I've ever added a video to my blog so fingers crossed it works! I guess you could class this as my first vlog. Wow I'm finally moving with the times! I used my Panasonic HM-TA2 camera that I was lucky enough to get for my birthday from ma&pa. It was great to be able to capture our Minimoon both with pics & videos (though it did mean another camera Adam had to juggle with! :P). The music is Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros 'Home.' Our 4th day in Jersey ( pt1 , pt2 , pt3 here) was quite an adventure. We started off at the zoo, the reptile house was my fave & I managed to get some great shots of the inhabitants watching us watching them. Once outside again Adam had fun becoming a meerkat while the bats stretched their wings in the bat tunnel. I was mesmerised by the Aye Ayes in their dimly lit enclosures, I couldn't ever try to get a picture so I just stood there watching them for ages & ended up squinting like a mole as I came back out into the sunshine. After a bit to eat we set off to Gorey to see Mont Orgueil Castle. It was a really pretty part of Jersey (not that the rest's scruffy!) which was confirmed when we were faced with the view above as we walked from the car park, it was pretty stunning! Welcome to another update of our Minimoon to Jersey ( pt1 &  pt2 here). By the 3rd day we'd figured out that the password for the wifi at Costa was the same everyday so we hung around outside the cafe like dodgy teenagers nicking their interwebs for a bit to see if anymore wedding photos had been uploaded to facebook whenever we could. We decided to spend the day around St Helier & our first stop was the Maritime Museum which was way better than we expected! We'd only decided to go in cos it was part of our Jersey Pass but we ended up spending quite a while in there learning about all the coastline myths & how to do knots (think you had to be there cos it sounds kinda lame the way I'm describing it, it's well worth it honest!). Can't believe it's Monday already *groan* but that does mean it's time for Minimoon Monday pt2 ( pt1 HERE ) *huzzah* I'm sure you're wondering if life could get any better?! Firstly I love this set of photos of Adam writing me a message in the sand & the fact he turns round & realises there's no kiss & adds one after! I know it's out of order but thought I'd start with this one. Sorry if it's a bit too mushy though for a Monday! If we'd taken this photo every morning of our breakfast Adam's side wouldn't have changed at all! He discovered a true love for yogurt & banana while I worked my way though Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine & the Breakfast muffin all on a rotation! I wish I could have one of these put in front of me every morning they were delish!
