Well we're well on our our way to Christmas...huzzah! Before we all get carried away with the festivities here's what November brought us.... Ceroc... Tommy time... Jimmy Eat World gig... even more Ceroc... cream crackered! Phew! Can't wait to share December with you all! It's been crazy so far & will only get "worse" before it gets better! Ttfn x

So we went to see The Gaslight Anthem last night at Ally Pally, it's been way too long since our last Gaslight gig & was just what we needed to let our hair down....we sang, we held hands, we hugged & Adam even got the set list. Oush. Ttfn x

We like to think the music we had at our wedding reflected us as a couple really well & with this in mind we wanted to make sure we picked our First dance & Parent's Dance carefully & didn't end up with a generic song that didn't mean much to us. After a lot of thought we decided on The Gaslight Anthem's "Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts," the words were lovely & we've both followed Gaslight almost as long as we've been going out! After sweet talking Adam we had a few little jive classes with the wonderfully talented Kev & Aggie who I've been lucky enough to get to know through Jive & who have been taking competitions by storm this year (they're multiple Freestyle & Showcase Champions)! Definitely check them out if you want some private lessons. They were great fun & tailor your dance to match your needs. We didn't want a fully choreographed routine just a few special moves we could whip out ...

Adam & I went on Sunday night & were blown away. We decided not to go right down to the front for once & actually stand back a bit to enjoy the music (instead of Adam concentrating on trying to protect me from being squished) so the photos ain't great I'm afraid but here goes: On the European Tour was Chuck Ragan (from Hot Water Music & who started the Revival Tour), Brian Fallon (from The Gaslight Anthem - woop!), Dan Andriano (from Alkaline Trio) & Dave Hause (from The Loved Ones), Jon Gaunt played the fiddle & Joe Ginsbery was on the upright bass. To start with everyone played, then one by one each singer did some of his own songs as well as versions of songs from the band they're from. It started with Dave, then Chuck, followed by Dan & finally Brian rounded the whole thing off. Finally all our beautiful Gaslight Anthem prints by El Jeffe are up on our walls. I love seeing them everyday. This print is the most recent & we've only just got it back from being framed. It's in our lounge & we managed to find the old picture hooks & chains to hang it up with so it looks great! These two designs are from the band's last two UK tours & are in our bedroom above the bed. It's great to be able to put actual artwork up cos I'm so used to being in rented accomodation where you could put photos up with blutac if you're lucky! Now we're just waiting to sand down the wood in the hall & on the stairs then we can hang our Gilbert & George's up! It's turning out to be Gaslight Anthem Friday (which I'm not complaining about!) cos their newest video has just been released, it's ace & the boys look fine, so take a gander here ! x x x

Well I have been a busy bee and it’s pretty much all been mucking fagic!!!! :D This is my 1st update and there'll be many more! :P Last Sunday was another Gaslight Anthem gig, this time at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. The venues are getting bigger for them but at least they’re still fairly small, don’t want them getting to the O2 or Wembly now (in a completely selfish way of course!)! I got there a bit early for meeting Adam so just happened to walk past the stage door and there was Brian (the lead singer) outside. I didn’t know what to do so ended up walking past him and going to the end of the street, standing there for a bit, pretending to phone someone and plucked up the courage to walk past him again an even speak to him! I asked for a photo and we had a little natter, as I was leaving he asked me my name and he said ‘nice to meet you I’m Brian!’ how sweet?! I joked that I knew who he was and I walked off on cloud 9! I love the way he’s still so humble and unassuming! :) BR...

I've never been so squashed, bumped, pushed and had so much beer in my hair but still so damn happy as I was last night!! yup you guessed it it was The Gaslight Anthem gig at the Mean Fiddler! :D Adam and I made our way to the front and got there eventually after having a bit of a run in with a guy on the front row who'd obviously never been at the front of a gig before cos he shouted at me to stop pushing and I pointed out to him that maybe he wanted to tell the hundreds of other people pushing me as well?! That did stop him complaining everytime I was squashed into him so I made sure I pushed him a bit harder than I needed to! :P I managed to get on the front about half way through tho so that was cool! It was such a great gig again, tho didn't feel as intimate as when we saw them at the ULU where we were right on the front of the stage with no security barrier! Yup that’s me alright! Had a lovely couple of days off with Adam at the start of this week for his birthday. It started off with us going for a tour round the Emirates Stadium (Arsenal’s home ground) and being taken round by one of the ‘legends.’ The guy who took us round was John Radford and he used to play for Arsenal in the 60s. It was really great getting taken round the dressing rooms, directors suite, pitch side and the press room while hearing all about his old stories from when he used to play. We also got a signed photo of him at the end which was quite cool as well as a little goodie bag. As if this wasn’t enough our next stop was Carnaby Street to the Vans shop to wait for one of our favourite bands, The Gaslight Anthem, to do a signing in there. And wait was what we definitely did!! We got there a little early to say the least (:P) and seeing how cold it is at the moment the staff took pity on us and let us sit on the sofa in store to keep warm! Other fans finally started ...

After getting stupidly excited over my birthday this year (I swear I get mentally younger each year!) it came and it went and was well worth getting excited about as well as the days that followed! On the actual day I was with Adam in London. I'd decided I'd love to go to London Zoo so that's where we ended up. This was after my 1st surprise of the day - Adam had found out we could get a canal boat from Camden to the zoo so that was a lovely treat in the morning and we enjoyed watching the world go slowly by. The zoo was great fun and we saw lots of animals and thankfully not too many kids! There was one enclosure where they had set up an area as a Rainforest but the animals weren't behind bars or glass they could wander in and out of the balcony you walked around on if they wanted too. :) that was really cool and I got to see a Sloth which was ace!
