So much for updating this blog more regularly! Yoink!  In a nutshell, life has changed again...  I was made redundant in August, I knew I wasn't happy in my job but it still hit me like a tonne of bricks. I'd been working in the fashion industry for 15years, now the rug had been taken out from under me it gave me the fresh start I obviously needed. I was left with no work or home ties to London and so decided to relocate to the Midlands. I started to apply for jobs and found one that seemed perfect, a studio assistant role on minimum wage, I went for the interview and found out the next day I hadn't got that job, but the boss had wanted to employ me as her PA / Project developer, it was a dream job come true! All that organisation with creative bits thrown in! Huzzah! I've been working there a month and a half and I'm loving it, the people are lovely, the job is great, and the embroidery product is beautiful. In August, my pal I've known the longest, Michelle, got married to a lovely chap called Matt. July saw us all see Michelle off with a fab hen party... it was a rainy start but nothing was going to dampen my spirits... tea was drunk by the gallon... followed by Prosecco and beer... trashy tv watching and gossiping... secret hen party decorating ready for the next day... cuppa tea in bed... surprise decorations... what party is complete without a giant inflatable cock?! (don't worry mum, not what you think :P)... more prosecco... garter making... nibbles and more plonk... escape room sadness... private room bowling fun... boiler maker awesomeness... Last weekend I headed home to m&d’s without Adam to do weddingy stuff. Our first port of call Saturday morning was The Designer Vintage Bridal Show. I dragged poor dad out of bed so we could get there just after it opened cos I knew RocknRollBride had some magazines printed so I didn’t want her to run out (I didn’t need to worry though she had loads!). It was pretty cool getting there before everyone else cos it meant I could actually speak to Kat & also two other bloggers I follow - OMG I’m Getting Married & Love my Dress . I did feel a bit like a fangirl though but it was fun & really nice that they were all so interested in my wedding & what was being planned. After the show we picked up mum & went to a local Bridal Shop to speak to someone about my dress & alterations that would need to be done. It felt so good to be able to talk to a seamstress about what needed to be done so that’s all ticked off I now just need to buy the dress which will probably ...

On Twitter this morning I read the best news ever. Steps are reforming! Now if you don't know me very well you might not know this dark side to me but I used to be (& still am) obsessed with the cheesy pop group that's Steps. I've been itching all day to get home & put on the only dvd I have of them (all the rest of my stuff is on vhs!) & dance/sing away. It's such a good job Adam's out tonight. All of my time at High School was spent with Michelle learning the routines at each others houses & then when I changed schools I carried this on & added Scary-May to the group. It was so much fun & they were such a huge part of my life. I was only allowed on the internet once a week to look at their message board but I made sure I recorded every tv show they were on & bought every magazine they were in from Smash Hits to FHM. I don't care how sad people think it all is I was so happy while listening to their happy clappy songs & dancing ...

Oh yeah! I really did feel like the leader last night. Rfa & i had a wedding to go to in preston & we went only knowing each other but ended up leaving knowing most & them knowing us! The ceremony was lovely & really small. Ian looked very dapper & jo looked stunning. I almost blubbed a few times especially when they played 'all i ask of you' from phantom when signing the register! By the time we sat down to eat i'd already had 2 glasses of champagne & a pint of ale so was well on the way to being merry. So merry infact i was given a chicken ceaser salad & ate it all! Lettuce & tomato, the lot! The rest of the meal was lovely too & the speeches equally as good. :-) ian can be soppy when he wants! We had a short breather while they got the reception room ready & the hog roast set up, yes more food! The disco then got going & we ended up writing pretty much the whole the djs playlist! Well it is a 70s bar, gotta have a bit of beegees, so that means TRAGEDY! Haha. So yes i did dance, dya think id stand still?! Woot Woot! As usual michelle & i were the only ones dancing with the dance moves! Who cares we thought we looked cool! (Thought being the right word! :-S)
