Now before I turn 33 maybe it's time I share my post about last year's birthday?! ---- "32 and none the wiser" Fact! As usual I managed to drag my birthday on for a few weeks....it started with the Great British Beer Festival and ended with my desk being covered with banners and streamers (so much so I almost strangled myself everytime I got up to go to the photocopier). I found the best way to cover my birthday was to turn back to my trusty friend 1SE again! PART 1 - GBBF 2016 I love this video so much....it's me being a total ladette with my bestie as well as a few other mates and a chicken hat....the more eagle-eyed viewers with notice the famous KtP/Slink drunk signals! PART 2 - BRENT / BEER / MUSIC / SLIDE Involves traditional hungover tv watching...a mini festival...doggy beer...the Orbit slide (you must do this by the way if you're ever at the Olympic PARK- it's brilliant...thankfully there was a day inbetween the GBBF and the sli...

Last month I turned the grand old age of 31. I dragged the celebrations on for as long as possible & was treated to lots of surprises. Yay! Ruddy love a good surprise! As you can see from Tommy's face he was as excited as I was! WORK BIRTHDAY: My usual wander to my desk turned into a game of limbo thanks to Anna & my table was covered in little photos of Tommy & Disney Princess glitter! We went out for a celebratory Byron that night, Prosecco (once they'd quickly dusted off the emergency bottle, chilled it in the freezer & borrowed glasses from Zizzi!) followed by a Beaver Town & a Fredder Dawg (yum!) BIRTHDAY SURPRISE DAY 1 I had no idea where we were going & ended up pulling up outside Art's parents home near Oxford (they were away & Art & Sam came out to greet us :)). Saturday was spent on an unexpected pub crawl - I love the way the smallest villages have the most pubs!  Each time we tried to go back home we spotted ...

On my way to who knows where!

I'm being taken out for a surprise for my birthday today whoop! Thankfully it's a bonus I'm not very with it today...all those 1/3 pints I had at the Great British Beer Festival last night soon added up! Who'd've thunk it?! Excuse me while I stick my head out of the car window & blast away the hangover! Yoink! Ttfnx

Birthday Surprise Road Trip!

Image
As you may have gathered by now I'm an ale gal at heart & when Adam told me we were off for a birthday surprise & I had to be up at 5am he made it all worth-while when we pulled up to the St Austell Brewery in Cornwall. He's a keeper folks! Even though I drove half the way I still had no idea where we were heading till we pulled up to the gates. Adam even had me convinced we were off to buy a pug for most of the journey! We set off on the brewery tour & learnt loads about making ale as we peeped through windows & portholes & grinned like loons when we saw where the Tribute Ale was being brewed, if only I'd brought a straw with me! After the tour came the best bit - the tasting! We got to try 5 different ones ranging from a lager to a stout & Adam found the new love of his life - Smuggler! As we chatted to the tour guide afterwards she let us finish off any bottles we wanted (seeing as they were going to be thrown away anyway!) awesome! ...

How did we manage it at uni?! We all went out for Slink's 30th birthday on Saturday night & I'm still recovering! We thought we were well hard staying out till 3:30am, we eventually got home & crashed at 5am then Sunday we were all completely useless, even conversation was a tricky task to master! It was well worth it though. We started at Bacchus Bar in Brum (they've got a fab beer blog HERE ) followed by good old Eddies for a jump around. It was muchos fun, you can never beat a bit of "Killing In The Name Of" with Niall shouting in your face! Here's to 2013, the year of the Old.Age.Rockers! :P Ttfn x

Happy Birthday Mr Cupcakes!

Image
Saturday saw Johnny Cupcakes' 2nd Birthday in London & being typically British we weren't going to miss an opportunity to queue! The store was due to open at 1pm & we joined about 12:30pm thinking it would only take a couple of hours to get in & see what was new. We eventually shuffled in the door about 4pm making the most of their heating & free cupcakes/red bull! Brr! The limited edition t-shirt (sported by My Johnny Cupcakes below) was lovely so Adam treated himself to that one, while I got another top & a few bits & bobs. Speaking of Johnny Cupcakes, we're off to see the man himself again tonight talking about how he started up the business & promoted it.  Can't wait to hear what he has to say! He's awesome! If you still don't know who or what Johnny Cupcakes is (where have you been?! :P) check out their website HERE . Even if you do know click the link on Wednesday to see the brand spanking new website, we...

A lovely birthday for a lovely lady

Image
Last weekend it was Anna's birthday. She'd booked a great restaurant in Covent Garden - the Boulevard Brasserie (click HERE ). They were great with catering for parties & couldn't be more helpful, also as an added bonus it was dark enough for me to play with my posh new flash (still need a bit if practice but fairly chuffed with the results!). After a yummy dinner & a Spanner cake for pudding(!) we set off for a cocktail bar where we had a little cave all to ourselves. Perfick! Happy Birthday me duck. You looked stunning (as always) & even though it was a bit like Challenge Anneka every so often it was all worth it & I hope you felt so too! Ttfn x

SUPRISE!

Image
Yesterday we had a little surprise party for Jill & Keith's 60th & 70th birthday, this is how they took it.... It was great getting together to surprise them & it gave us a chance to say thanks for everything, I'm really lucky to have such a lovely 'in-law' family. :) It was fun to get little Lumix out too for a few cheeky snaps. Only 9 sleeps to go! Woop! Ttfn x

woah woah woah!

When did it suddenly become December & where did October & November go?! If possible could we all just pause time for a few days for me to catch up & then carry on as normal?! Yesterday was Adam's birthday so we celebrated as tradition dictates at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. It was a lovely crisp winter's day so we didn't mind shuffling around with the crowds & to make it even better we spotted a pug & he wasn't just any old pug, he was wearing a Christmas jumper! Amazing! The rest of the day was spent shopping & then we went for dinner where Adam had Lamb & pink coloured beetroot mash! As I said earlier I really can't believe it's December already. I've pretty much finished my present shopping but not even opened a card to write yet & to make matters worse our tree isn't up yet either. Shocking! Hopefully I can find a spare minute one night this week to get it sorted. I love Christmas so much but could do wit...

On Tuesday it was my birthday (when I told dad I shared a birthday with Usain Bolt he pointed out that's where the similarities end! :P). Unfortunately Adam didn't have the day off as well so I just tucked down deeper under the duvet when he got up at 6am. Poor guy. Luckily I had Scary staying over to keep me company so once ma&pa woke me up singing "Happy Birthday" down the phone (makes up for all the early morning phone calls they've had to put up with I guess!) I stuck on the kettle & sat down to Jeremy Kyle. I wasn't really expecting much when the postman knocked cos I'd just been told to stay in for my parents parcel but wow there was loads for little old me! :D I decided to wait till Adam was home to do all the unwrapping so we got dressed & head to Westfield to get a few last minute wedding odds & sods. Before we even tackled the shops we stopped off at Tossed (weirdly a salad place is becominge one of my favourite places t...

Happy 30th Adam!

Image
Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith. The first of many surprises for Adam were tickets to Steve Merchant's 'Hello Ladies' tour at the Apollo which was really good fun. We got there quite early so thought we...

Back in August it was my birthday & I held my annual picnic in Hyde Park. This year the theme was a Masquerade. Lovely Lou was chief photographer & I've had these pics waiting to be posted for ages now. There was no specific type of mask so there was an ace mix from posh to wrestling, animal to freaky. I have a huge fear of clowns so thankfully no one turned up wearing one (I didn't mention it on the invite though cos I knew someone would try to be a clever clogs about it & wear the worst one they could find). I was really touched at how many people showed up & they weren't just London friends. We had an ace time & thankfully the weather behaved after a bit of a wobbly start in the morning. It's really odd how the weather's changing, my birthday's always used to be hot & sunny but the past two years my picnic's been threatened by rain & chilly temperatures. Not impressed! Who needs the milk try man when you have Max arriving wi...
