t minus 3days!

thats it, 3 days then im done! woohoo! xx

notes of the weavling...

just to let you know im still alive, just weaving away! 7:45am - 5:30pm(ish) in the studio yesterday and today and for the rest of the week. im busy planning my degree show and im getting quite excited, 10th - 13th june (be there or be square! :-P) hehe. just gotta get my jacquard weaving on thursday after dying all the yarns tomorrow i hadnt done due to a miss calculation! doh! xx

if i could turn, turn back the hands of time......

it all started going wrong a week last monday when i started to weave but kept noticing broken threads in my warp on the loom. i kept mending them and getting matthew (the technician) to try and work out the problem with me, neither of us could find it,this carried on untill thursday morning when i was so fustrated with it i spoke to jan (my tutor) and decided to cut it all off and start again, i ended up loosing about 2weeks worth of work. :- so on thursday i was in the workshop untill 6pm winding my next warps. friday morning came and as i went to dye the waprs that id already spent aaages untangling i started to dip dye one of them and then set it on fire in the bunsen burner! so i had to start again, again (sounds like the teletubbies!). by the end of friday id dyed my warps and wefts but because id taken so long to dye them i couldnt do anything else cos they were still drying. the weekend i spent calming down and taking many deep breaths! monday, i started to spread my wa

mmmm beer!

sorry for not posting at all last week, i was busy either drinking, working or sleeping! had THE best weekend last weekend. it was the uni rag beer keller/bank holiday weekend! i wasnt really much of an ale drinker when i arrived on saturday but i sure was by the monday night! hehe. saturday as i said was the beer keller with a german oompa band. it was really good fun and we got a lufbra tankard with our entrance *ooooh!!* it was a bit like geeks let loose though, they were all jumping around on the tables, they are obviously not let out much normally! i tried a few beers but not too many that night cos it sorta went to my head rather quickly! such a lightweight! sunday i woke up completely hangover free which i wasnt expecting at all! it was great! i think beer is my new drink just going by the fact that it doesnt make me feel awful like vodka and alchopops do! cos anna and andy were in lufbra we went to lloyds for a meal, then a few beers at the swan in the rushes and t
