It's June & we're Brits so no matter what it's BBQ time! A few weeks ago ma&pa came to help build Walter Weber then with a glass of Sangria in one hand & tongues in the other we were off! Dad always cooks a killer BBQ so who better to learn from than the expert himself?! We had Chili/Dark Chocolate sausages (sooo good - don't knock 'em till you've tried 'em!), Sweet Chilli Sausages, Beef Burgers & Venison Steak followed by corn on the cob, yes I know it was only for the 4 of us but it wouldn't be a BBQ without loads of left over food! Today I put my skills to the test & cooked another BBQ for Adam & me...this time we had Pork/Apple & Aberdeen Angus sausages & corn on the cob. I was pretty chuffed with it all & I think corn on the cob done on the BBQ is now a firm fave. So although I wasn't at home for Fathers Day this year at least I made him proud with the help of my new found friend Walter! L...

Last Sunday I achieved what I thought was the impossible...I cooked! Now to most people that’s no biggie but for anyone who’s lived with or visited me I manage to warm things up well(ish) but to actually cook is up there on a pedestal that’s above my reach....or so I thought... Easter Sunday Adam & I decided we were going to tackle that holy grail....The Sunday Roast! Gulp! After writing a list of what to do when with coloured arrows all over the place thanks to a phonecall to dad & a piece of Lamb (with the bone removed thanks to our very friendly local butcher :)) We were ready to go. First thing first – we opened a bottle of wine...then we were off! To be honest I don’t really enjoy cooking – I find it very stressful trying to juggle everything to be done at the right time & the right temperature but we got through it together. Thankfully Adam was by my side as chief veg peeler, meat carver, wine pourer & general calmer downer! I had ...
