ITS ME!!!



well heres my 1st photo finally on my blog! just incase any of you have forgotten what i look like or anything (im the one in the middle! :-P ) this was taken at robs ace leaving doo (hes on the right) seamus is the one on the left, think the hat might give away where hes from! hehe! was such an ace night!! partay!

speaking of ace times, this weekend was, yet again pretty gooood! it all started in cosmo, (you noticing a pattern yet?!?!) and i met up with the gang plus an extra - mariah from the states who was nanny to electra, one of seamus' mates. mariah was on her night off so came to join us. we stayed at cosmo untill midnight when all the blokes went downstairs to watch the rugby and mariah and i (the others joined us later) went onto taika. it was a good night, met up with some people i hadnt seen for a while and had a boogie! untill about 2am. after taking a while to recover from the pervious night i went to the taj for another one of my quiet lunches! I really need to learn that they arent quiet!!! had a bit of a giggle but not very good food, ended up going back to seamus' for a few more drinks and some better food and to say bye to mariah, electra and nicholas (the kid). the quiet lunch ended up with me getting home at 12:30am! whoops!

today we decided to book our 1st flight for when we finish work and start travelling. it was really exciting! nat and i took a couple of hours off work to go and collect the tickets and its lucky we did cos we were sent to 4 different offices to collect them, it drove us mad! we arrived at the airport with 10min to spare before they closed! phew! nat and i then decided to have a look around the shops at leela palace, pretending we had the money to buy things! it was quite funny! im now back in my chavvy environment of forum and have just bought my 3rd pair of hiking sandles, hopefully these will be more comfortable than the last pair and wont make my feet stink like the 1st pair did! ah well its an excuse to shop anyway! hehe.

found out today that the new girls from england start work on the 1st july, we only finish on the 30th june, nothing like feeling replaced! its made us all feel really weird cos theyll come out here a couple of days before we leave, we know we will be replaced, but would rather not meet the people doing it!! we're all starting to get a bit nervous/excited/upset about leaving but i guess thats all part of being out here really! as a great group once stated.....

Sounds like lots of excitement in one weekend... you seem to wrapping up quickly from here with the bookings already being done!:-)

It's a nice pic... just one Q... was this before or after the teary farewell to Rob? :-P

Now I can take a print of this and come to Cosmo and say Hi to you myself... shouldn't be difficult to spot you... naa not by your pic but spot you with Seamus's hat! Its quite outstanding :-P

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith. Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). There were mixed responses to the rather tentacle-y calamari (I have some hilarious snaps of Jazzy eating the tentacles but I'm here to make friends not enemies so those will be shared between the 2 of us &am

Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent
