dry your eyes mate........its yesterday once more.....

Yesterday was em’s unbirthday! We had a really nice meal at Little Italy, apart from my pudding which said chocolate crepe on the menu, when it came it looked amazing, then I took a bite and the crepe was there, so was the chocolate but inside was lumpy cheese! Eew! Was not impressed! Cheese and chocolate?! Huh?! Em’s present from becca was a scary mask and it really was scary! I don’t like masks/clowns as many of you will know but this was horrible!!! Went to cosmo and as I walked onto the terrace seamus, paul, collin and ben were there and all started singing “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away…….” at the top of their voices! (im still labeled a yesterday girl hence the song! They’re so harsh!) I thought theyd just sing a bit of the song, but no, they nearly did the whole flipping thing! It was embarrassing but funny! Seamus was in a very good mood cos he’d finally won a tennis match (after 27 games of loosing) against paul! “You’ll never beat the irish!!” Unfortunately cosmo closed at 11:30, as did everywhere else in the city, grrr, so we all went to roy’s house for a party! We played a drinking game involving the 7 times table, im not well known for my skills in mathematics so failed miserably!! Whoops! At the end of the night emotions and alcohol were running high, and something set me off thinking about my time left here and I just burst into tears! It was quite embarrassing but its really how im feeling at the moment. :-(
Woke up this morning to only a week left at work, and a bare wall cos id taken all my photos down other day. Argh!!! This afternoon em, shal and I were talking about us leaving and we all started crying! Women eh?! The tailors really didn’t know what to do with us as we all blubbed away! Goodness knows what we’ll be like when we do actually leave! Not thinking about it anyway!
One last thing, good luck to everyone who gets their final grades today! Let me know how you get on! And for everyone else hope it went/or will go well!
On that note, need to go and get ready, going to a guy from works house tonight to be stuffed with Indian food once more, mmmmmm!

I am sure it must be as sad for all of you, especially you, of whatever little I have come to know you from your blogs, as you portrayed in your log today! :-|

On the brighter side, think Paris could turn out to be a better place than Bangalore... with probably better pals... :-/

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith. Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent
