*YAWN*

well im back from our daytrip to pondicherry. it was really good fun, but we're all like zombies today! our coach was very nice though and i slept for the whole journey. the trip got off to a sad start cos on saturday night before leaving i went to 13th floor then taika with rob to say bye. i was ok till i gave him a hug as i was leaving, as soon as i stepped out the door at taika i burst into tears! i think manjunath the driver wondered what on earth was wrong as i blubbed my way to shama travels to catch the coach! im really gonna miss rob, seamus and him have been looking after me while ive been out here (and vice versa!) and weve had soo much fun! im sure he wont miss the times that seamus and i gave him excellant dating advice though!! :-P

we left bangalore at 11pm and arrived in pondi at 5:30am. we headed to the beach, wandered around for a bit then ended up in hot breads for our hot choc croissant and hot chocolate! mmmm! then we visited the ganesh temple and ashram before getting a cycle rikshaw tour around the place. had a lovely lunch - banana pancakes! mmmm again! cooled down in the botanical gardens and made some very silly videos. the most important bit came next - the shopping!! i got some ace bargains and so did all the others. especially becca who doesnt usually buy anything! in a couple of the shops i was recognised from last time (i obviously make an impression on shop keepers! :-S hopefully not as the english girl who buys all the crap they own!!). we ended a very good day in a lovely restaurant -rendez vous and just chillaxed untill our coach left at 10:30pm.

Its fine, I guess... tears are the physical form of the precious little emotions that we carry towards friends and family alike! Moreover temporary separation from them always leads to a relatively highly joyful and happy reunion :-)

Btw... what are the timings of these "dating advice" sessions that you and Seamus conduct and what are the charges (by the bottle)? :-P

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith. Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). There were mixed responses to the rather tentacle-y calamari (I have some hilarious snaps of Jazzy eating the tentacles but I'm here to make friends not enemies so those will be shared between the 2 of us &am

Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent
