As well as planting the poppies I was lucky enough to snap one up to keep at home once the display was dismantled. I'm too scared to put this outside in case it gets knocked over & damaged so it sits pride of place on our display cabinet in the dining room. What a great piece of history. Ttfn x

Following on from yesterday's post (see HERE ) I headed back to the Tower of London on Remembrance Sunday to hear the Roll of Honor.   I knew it would be popular so I got there over an hour before it was due to start & I managed to bag myself the perfect spot opposite the mound. Last September I was lucky enough to get the chance to take part in the "Blood Swept Lands & Seas of Red" at the Tower of London.... Those of you who are regular readers will know I love helping out the Royal British Legion & this was a chance to be part of something awesome! "Blood Swept Lands & Seas of Red" was to mark the centenary of the outbreak of WW1, in total there were 888,246 ceramic poppies (1 to represent every British / Colonial serviceman killed) & the last one was planted on Remembrance Day. The aim was to plant 5000 poppies to keep on track for the 11th November but someone ended up opening an extra palette & we planted 6000 instead! It's a Monday.....in January....what better way to cheer up than meeting up with Lou, heading to Drink, Shop & Do , grabbing a huge teapot of Chai, then designing & screen printing my own tea towel. We were welcomed in by Zeena - a brill teacher & lovely lady (check out her website HERE ) she does a full range of workshops both at DSD & elsewhere. It was a really fun & relaxing evening & made a great change to be doing something creative (other than work) in my spare time. Can't wait for the next one...Lego Robots anyone?! Ttfn x

The sun's shining so where else should we be?! Once again, in a darkened room playing video games at H.O.G (Heart of Gaming) in North Acton.... I've not been for ages, they've got lots of new consoles & have changed everything round a bit. It's looking awesome! If you've still not been yet it's really worth it. You can playing anything & everything, old & new all for £10 on the door & unlimited play (very useful when playing Metal Slug!). Ttfn x

Sundays are for country walks right?! Well this was the best walk ever! We went to South Weald Country Park to gate crash the  French & English Bulldogs/Bostons/Pugs meet up. I knew there's be quite a few dogs around but had no idea it would be this big! We turned up with an imaginary pug & joined the crowd. It was brill! Trouble is it's don't nothing for our puppy obsession & can't wait for one of our own so we can come along as legit dog owners! Roll on the next one! Ttfn x

I woke up after a rather heavy night this morning to see big fluffy snowflakes & got all excited at visions of a winter wonderland & building my own little Olaf in the garden with Adam. After half a bottle of Ribena & a slice of Soreen my head was banging so I went back to sleep. I woke up at 2:30pm to bright sunshine & not a snowflake in sight. Grr! At least I saved Adam from my dodgy rendition of "do you wanna build a snowman?!" every cloud & all that! Ttfn x
