hi ho hi ho its off to work i go

well i started work today! it was really surreal when i sat back on the train to work and thought about the fact that this is it now, no temping or anything, this is my life! no lufbra uni to go back to. it didnt make me sad it was just quite exciting! im gonna miss all my uni mates loads and i have been, but once i get into a routine ill be better and feel much happier about everything. ive not been as homesick as i thought id be either. i think cos after being in india, being a couple of hours away from home and all my mates, its nothing!!

it sounds so sad but i was dead excited to have my own desk and file and computer and pens and......you get the picture!! i also got my visa back, my insurance sorted and my flight confirmed for india! yaya! :-)

went out tonight as well with 2 of my flatmates cath and krysha for one of their mates birthdays. it was so nice to get out of the flat for an evening. i met lots of randoms who im sure ill meet again next time i go out! cath and i didnt stay very long cos she wasnt very well and i was cream crackered after all the excitement of my 1st day!

thats about it for now, need some sleep before 2moz!

Ladies what #ldnlunch

After a few deep breaths I plucked up the courage to walk into the Jetlag bar in Fitzrovia & meet some fellow blogging lovelies. I'd first heard about Ldnlunch On Eloise's blog . I'd always wanted to go to a blogger meet so I put my name down straight away. I was a bit nervous when I realised there were about 40 other girls going who's blogs were mainly about fashion, whereas mine is just random ramblings from inside my brain box but decided I'd still go seeing as I had nothing to lose! I arrived expecting to be early but there were already lots of people sitting down for drinks & food so I grabbed a drink & perched on a pooffe. I just ordered a bowl of chips (how adventurous!) but I did pick off the plates around me (yoink! Thanks Lois! ). Londoners pt1

For Chrimbo Adam gave me a book called "Londoners. The days & nights of London now - as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it & long for it" by Craig Taylor. After reading the introduction & before reading any more I decided I'd think about what London & being a Londoner means to me. Even though I picked out bullet points I still got a bit carried away so I'll spread it over a few posts so here goes part 1, I'll start with the one thing that I think of straight away when someone says London to me: ~ the tube is a huge part of London life. It's about sitting on a train for an hour & not knowing what any one's face looks like only their shoes, panic attacks when the train gets stuck in a tunnel without explanation, keeping left, standing on the right spot on a platform so you'll be in front of the doors when they open & also so when you get off you'll be at the exit to the station - even if that exit says no ent

Happy 30th Adam!

Wow what an eventful weekend! Friday was Adam's 30th so we both took the day off work to celebrate together. After sleeping in till 10am Adam finally woke me up asking when I was going to emerge & celebrate his birthday with him - Yoink! So much for the breakfast in bed I had planned. We started the day off as all birthdays should be celebrated - with a trip to Asda! After getting the boring chores out the way we headed to Winter Wonderland (via the Barber) for our annual wander around with a mulled wine in one hand & a Bratwurst in the other all polished off with a pretzel. We stopped off at the Carousel bar to watch the world go by (literally! The whole bar rotates really slowly) & have another mulled wine while putting the world to rights before heading off for dinner in Hammersmith.
