mmmm beer!
sorry for not posting at all last week, i was busy either drinking, working or sleeping! had THE best weekend last weekend. it was the uni rag beer keller/bank holiday weekend! i wasnt really much of an ale drinker when i arrived on saturday but i sure was by the monday night! hehe.
saturday as i said was the beer keller with a german oompa band. it was really good fun and we got a lufbra tankard with our entrance *ooooh!!* it was a bit like geeks let loose though, they were all jumping around on the tables, they are obviously not let out much normally! i tried a few beers but not too many that night cos it sorta went to my head rather quickly! such a lightweight!
sunday i woke up completely hangover free which i wasnt expecting at all! it was great! i think beer is my new drink just going by the fact that it doesnt make me feel awful like vodka and alchopops do! cos anna and andy were in lufbra we went to lloyds for a meal, then a few beers at the swan in the rushes and then a bbq. we were due to go to the beer festival but took a night off and played on the playstation!
monday - FREEFEST! woohoo! its a open air gig held at the union every may bankholiday monday. most of the acts are students and its a proper giggle. some of the bands left a bit to be desired, (espeically when one group murdered the reel big fish version of take on me! :-S) and others were ace. the weather started off really bad with heavy rain then sun then more rain but then cleared up by late afternoon thankfully. rfa and i arrived at 2pm and left at 2am! *yawn!* this time was spent socialising like a social butterfly between groups of mates and........ yup you guessed it......drinking more ale (i had about 9 pints that day!! :-S)! hehe. anna and andy left about 6pm so we popped home for an hour to cook some dinner before returning to mosh the night away! freefest finished at 10:30pm and then postfest (aka rock night) was in the union till 2am. rfa and i were jumping around like loonies and screaming at each other it was brill! we felt it the next few days after that tho hobbling around like two elderly people!! it was well worth it tho.
this week ive been mainly threading up my loom and going out. its quite nice cos ive not really been out much this term. another good thing about the end of this week has been the weather. its been roasting and really sunny. weve all been sunbathing outside the studio during lunch, its just like being in india again! (well sort of!). only trouble is the weathers gone back to its miserably british self today and is raining again! grr! not impressed! anyways back to chillaxing and doing a bit of work! ill write soon hopefully!
