an indian reunion in france!
what a wicked weekend! i left zodiac on friday afternoon, i was quite sad to leave cos id had a great time! caught the train to waterloo and met anna in the eurostar cafe, she'd dyed her hair and turned into a brunette and i almost didnt recognise her! it looks so nice though, makes me want to get on with dyeing my hair again! got to calais frethun and waited for fan, meanwhile i called emhen to find out where she was and it turned out she was at the wrong station and had had a little bit of french plonk! hehe! we eventually all met up anna, emhen, fan, geraldine and i and went to fan's holiday home in a little village called Wissant. the house was lovely and we sat down with bread, cheese, french sausage, wine and beer and caught up on all the gossip and thought about the good old days in bangalore!
the next morning we went for a loooong walk on the beach! the weather was lovely and we could see dover! there were people kitesurfing, windsurfing, jogging and swmming everywhere, it was a very active beach! we hadnt realised how far we'd walked when we sat on some rocks for a break, then fan told us that we had to walk all the way back! had some huge waffles with cream and went back to the house to chillax for a bit. fan cooked us crepes for dinner savory ones first then the sweet ones with so much nutella on! we seemed to have nutella on everything this weekend it was so funny (and fatty!). had more beer and wine and giggled the night away!
yesterday we had a lazy morning sunbathing in our pjs cos it was so warm! geraldine made us quiche and we openned the 2 bottles of kingfisher i'd bought as a little indian token! sat around for most of the day and then went down to the beach again for an hour before we had to leave. fan drove us to the station and we got on our train back to london. all the time we'd been in france the sun had shone and it was lovely, as soon as we emerged from the tunnel on the uk side it was gloomy and miserable! typical! it was a shame that the weekend had come to an end but there is another gathering in november for diwali so weve got something to look forward to! anna and i went our separate ways on the underground and i got to euston station and waited for my train back to nuneaton. it was all going well untill we got to just outside milton keynes where there was a security alert, they had closed the station, the armed police were there and there was a suspect package on the train in the station. we were stuck there for almost 2hours. i was tired, wanted to go home, had a headache and had a sunburnt nose! i didnt want to be stuck in a train with 3 drunk people opposite me!!!! got back eventually at about midnight and crashed on my bed!
got up this morning as late as possible and was greeted by the messiest room you have ever seen in your life! cleaned up a bit and im now just getting ready to go to cambridge to meet dave to go to see Reel Big Fish tonight! cant wait! woohoo! "i gotta go, gotta go, before i do something stupid, i gotta go-o-o!" rock on hehe!
