day off at last!!!
finally my 6 day week is over! one thing about having to work saturdays is that when i return to england i will definately appreciate our saturdays off again! One day to do everything is not enough, you need one day to shop and have fun then the next to recover and relax before the next week ahead!
on friday we had a bit of excitement! we were sent home early from work cos this guy from usa had arrived and was trying to convert hindus to christians so was not looked favourably upon! people were torching vehicles and throwing rocks through bus windows, we were told to go home and not to step outside for our own safety!!!
at the moment im eating a strange sandwich that looks almost radioactive!! its fluorescent green with spicy veg inside!!! :-S flippin internet cafe food eh?! hehe.
one thing i really love about india is that you can get clothes made at a tailor, really low cost but high quality. i got some trousers made this week and they only cost me about 50p to be made! theyre great, will definately be getting lots more things done this way i think cos you get them exactly how you want them to look and they will definately fit you!
last night was an important stage in my life! i actually helped to cook something! im the worst cook in the world but becca my housemate was making ratatouie (cant spell it let alone cook it!) & i asked to help. ok all i did was peel tomatoes (didnt even know you could do this but hey!) but its a start!!
2 of our friends out here, anna & claire, left india this week to go back to uk. it was really sad & didnt want them to go! hopefully ill be seeing them again at my birthday so its only 7 months till i see them again! :-S
right well thats it for now i think, ill get back to my radioactive sarnie, then im off to shop my sunday away as ususal!!! yaya! :-)
