my dissertation is finished!! woohoo! feels like such a relief! not got to be handed in till friday but i finished it last night then mattay drove me and rfa to my house to get mum and dad to print it out then we chillaxed in the hottub! mmmm! was sooo relaxing! had a nice lie in today to celebrate, woke up at 1pm to my phone ringing! i bet i could have slept till tomorrow i was so tired!! at least i can sit and watch neighbours, home and away, deal or no deal (how addictive is that show?!) etc without feeling guilty! :-D such a relief! anyways better go and carry on relaxing haha! xx

well the dissertation is still going on! its going well, but slowly, im a bit more positive than midweek when i had to re-write almost all of it! not good! itll definately be done in time, well ive got no choice!! ive decided that ive definately lived with guys too long and i think im even getting worse than them on the tidying up stakes! (see below! :-S ) MY ROOM DURING DISSERTATION AND ASSESSMENT MADNESS! cant wait to get all my work handed in cos i can finally tidy up! well i say that, but it probably wont change, itll still stay a pig sty!!! hehe. went out to fnd last night at the union. it was quite good fun, only trouble was that there were 3 different groups of mates out and everytime i tried to move from one group to the next id loose everyone! Typical! JOE, ME AND BECCA ALL LOOKING NORMAL UNTILL........... YOU SEE MY BOOTS! HEHE. these are my infamous boots that i got at the clotheshow! i think theyre fantastic but i dont think anyone else likes them, ...

got to hand in all my work for my assessment today. i think (hope) its all done! mum came over last night to help me mount stuff, she's a *!! im going in a bit later to mount it on the boards. i managed to get my weave off yesterday after two early mornings, i was in the studio at 7:45am! *yawn* thats a first! (and last! well, untill final project!) i feel a big relief now thats out of the way, all ive gotta do now is my dissertation! noooo! :-S xx

well my blog is one year old now!! cant believe ive been writing it for that long, it all started on a little computer in forum as something i thought id never write but i guess i was wrong! the workload at uni is really doing my head in at the mo, feels like its never ending and im sorry to all those peep i keep moaing at!! i will stop eventually! (proabably in july when i graduate?!!?) ive got my assessment at the end of the week and my weaves not even off the loom yet and i dont really have any final designs so i really need to get on with it and stop writing this blog! im stressed! its crap being a finalist! argh! got too much to do so writing this blog is a nice break! *NEWS FLASH!!* I STILL HAD TIME TO DYE MY HAIR THOUGH!!! ITS NOW A NICE REDDY/BURGUNDY! YAYA! Had quite a nice weekend. Rfa, sam and i went to Bridgnorth in Shropshire to visit anna and to go and see the infamous Andy G (anna's boyf's) gig. he was well good, did lots of cool songs and his set was two 45min sessions. i was very impressed! so 'big up mr g!' hehe MR ANDY G! well im back in lufbra again now, feels like ive never been home! its very quiet in our house, riksters asleep (has been since 5pm!) and rfa isnt back till feb cos hes a slacker and only has 1 exam in jan! chuh! might be going out tonight but not sure, might just have an early night in and chillax! mmm sounds nice! ive not blogged for a while cos ive been trying to get my dissertation done. last week mum and i went to london to the V&A gallery for me to do some more research. it was very strict, they even had an invigilator who looked over everyone to check we were all behaving! i requested one book and because it was a special one i had to use it right infront of the invigilator and was only allowed to make notes in my notebook in pencil incase i defaced the book at the same time! it was too quiet as well, i really hate libraries, they are just too quiet, i find that distracts me more than a bit of noise! well anyway ive got 7000 words for my dissertation and its finish...

well ive just about thawed out! mum dad, uncle colin, aunty sue, ruby and i all went on the canals for 4 days over new year. we hired a 56ft barge from stoke golding and pottered around on the canals. it was quite nice to get away from everything, all i had was a radio, a tv when we'd moored and my mobile that was on silent (couldnt have turned it off! fipping heck, im not going that far back to basics!! :-P)! i did take my dissertation with me though! sad i know! we set off in heavy rain, not very pleasent but we (well i say 'we,' dad and colin did all the steering while the women stayed indoors doing the cooking and playing cards etc!) battled on against the elements! THE GANG! (sue, colin, dad, me, mum, ruby) when we moored for the night we noticed our heating wasnt working too well so we tried to bleed the radiators but that did nothing, we ended up having to call out the guys from the boating place to help us! our boiler was dodgy but we put hot water bottles ...

just got back from an ace time in oxford! got the train on tuesday from nuneaton to milton keynes then a bus from milton keynes to oxford. it wasnt too bad and it was nice looking outside cos it had been snowing and everywhere was white (thankfully it wasnt the wrong kind of snow and so the trains hadnt been cancelled!) one bit of advice though, when youre travelling on a train dont listen to a ricky gervais podcast cos if like me, you find him really funny youll get really odd looks from everyone around you when you hear something funny and you laugh out loud then try to turn it into a cough!!!! i dont think it worked!! i arrived ready for rfas celebrations to start. we played some racing demon with his parents while we waited for people to arrive, it was a really good card game, and actually didnt take me that long to pick up for once!! eventually people started to arrive, there were loads of people and i wont remember everyone so im not going to try!! we hung around at rfas for quit...

well i now have proof that santa really does exist! i asked for a pony in my stocking thinking that id really baffle him, but lo and behold i looked right to the bottom of my sack yesterday morning and there was one in there! (ok its pink with purple hair and i cant exactly ride it but..........) ITS STILL A PONY!! woohoo! hehe. kids all over the world were right and the adults were wrong! so its up to you, do u believe or not even though the evidence is right infront of you now?! hehe ill leave ya thinking about that one while i go and watch roger rabbit (another documentary about real life!) xxxx

well i cant believe its christmas eve! really doesnt feel like it. no more sleeps still santa now, he'll be here tonight! :-D im still not that excited about it which is a bit of a shame, makes me realise im growing up! argh!! went out last night and 'did' hinckley. it was a wicked night cos i got to see woodlands crew and some of my old mates from high school i knew when i was about 12. we started off in the baron and it was packed, as was everywhere else! the whole of hinckley was out i think! our next stop was the union and then baracuda that had just opened. WOODLANDS GIRLIES! well im back home now to find that barwell isnt quite the same as it was when i left it in september, its turned wild! weve got a rat and a parrot, yes a parrot in our garden!! its crazy! the rat, we're trying to get rid of as i type and the parrot we keep feeding on the bird table! its well pretty, red, green and yellow and sits there for ages! weve had our un-chirstmas day today and santa came a bit early too! aunty beryl goes home tomorrow so we had a practise chrimbo day with her. i cant believe its almost christmas, it really doesnt feel like it is, im not excited about it this year, must be getting old!! saw scary-may today, not seen her since before i went to india two junes ago. it was so nice to catch up again over a sausage cob! we had so much to tell each other. shes been in germany as a dancer and singer in the german version of we will rock you, the queen musical. shes got about 3months left now before she has to find a new job. oh and by the way, incase...

finally its the last day of term! chrimbo hols here i come! although ill be doing my dissertation for most of it! boo! ive had my really good pressie already this year, a job offer! :-D its with zodiac in london starting in July. im so happy and its perfect cos ill be doing lots of different jobs and will get to travel as well, hopefully to india mainly! yaya! i found out on wed when i went to london and met up about it. it still doesnt really feel like its happeneing and i dead chuffed about it! yaya! thats about it for now. im going home tomorrow so yay! home cooked food! hehe xx

just a quickie today. went with rfa and matt-ay to see Narnia last saturdy and it was ace! stuck to the book and tv series really well and was a well spent 3hours. only trouble was the special effects weren't quite what they could have been, some of the blue screens were soo obvious! it was a bit of a shame but didnt ruin the film at all! i was a bit hesitant to see this lastest re-make cos of willy wonka earlier this year (crap!!) but i think with this film i can enjoy both the film and bbc series from when i was little (its out on dvd now dontcha know!! its well good!) im just typing this before i go to uni, got a presentation on my work today-eeek! im not as well prepared for it as i could have been but im sure itll be fine! :-S wish me luck! oh one more thing, every monday ricky gervais is doing a podcast for the guardian. its soo funny, you can download it from here if anyones interested: http://www.guardian.co.uk/rickygervais right well thats it for now, better get go...

last tuesday there was a playboy mansion night at the union. all the textile girlies went cos it was a chance for us all to fundraise for our degree show (still need about £7,000 i think, eeek!). we helped to design the set for each 'room' and also sold food, did games and face painting. it was a really fun night and eventhough it was a tuesday night, so not very busy, there was just enough people there to make it fun! PAUL, BECCA, EMHEN, DAMITH, ME, MARK, KAI i also got to meet up with quite a few people that i hadnt seen for ages, especially mark, so it was nice to catch up a bit, dont think many people recognised me at first! it was quite funny cos i dont usually make that much of an effort when i go out! just to let you know, ive updated my photoblog with photos from the india reunion in lufbra, i know, its taken me ages and theres not that many photos there! im tired and busy so i picked the highlights of the weekend, and yes they are about going out and drinking mainly!!! im at home this weekend with mum n dad till tomorrow so im enjoying decent home made food and early nights! mmmm! thats about it for now, will write more when something happens! xxx

went to see faithless at nottingham ice arena on saturday night, they were amazing! :-D FAITHLESS - YEAH BABY!! we were in the seating bit at the back but we still made sure there was space to dance!! they did all their hits, starting with "isomnia" (i cant get no sleep) and the crowd went mad! it was a really cool atmosphere and everyone was jumping around and singing along. they performed for about 2hours and played mass destruction, bring my family back, god is a dj, i want more, why go, etc. FANTASTIC LIGHT SHOW!! the lights were brilliant and helped with the atmosphere! good thing i wasnt epileptic though, cos they were going crazy! dad would have been impressed!! THE CROWD the other really good track to get the crowd going was "we come one. " its the first gig ive been to where EVERYONE was dancing along and enjoying themselves. i went with rfa, rikster, big dave, steph, liam and suze and i think they all enjoyed it too! after the gig we went to...

had THE BEST weekend last week. Slink, Niall, Matt-ay, Becky, rfa and I all went to rock night in Echos! Yes i actually got slink and niall in 'chos! hehe. it was for a textiles social for our degree show fund but not many people turned up, its not really their thing (they prefer fnd i think! :-S) started off at lloyds for a few warm up drinks and also it was so flipping cold outside that we needed a stop off on the way to warm up before ending up in echos! played a few drinking games and then moved on. it was really dead when we got to 'chos and to make matters worse, the white room was closed (they play all the punk, ska and metal in there) so we stood around with franz ferdinand and the killers for a bit and then after about an hour they opened up the other room (thankfully!). we requested system and had a good old jump around to that!
